Star-Crossed.

Source: That's Normal

Who elso is in love with this? I just know I have to watch this just because Matt Lanter is in this. No regrets at all. I love seeing him in 90210, and I just can't get enough of him. So, I started to watch the show last week and I fell in love with Roman and Emery. And it is interesting how they are trying to make the Atrians(Aliens) and humans get along. Basically having this Atrian integration program hoping to make Aliens and humans get along. There are some twists here and there. It's pretty nice to watch, really.

So, go watch it if you have not! It is really nice!

More information to explain the show, you can read it here!
She explains the show better than I will.

(I know I just updated yesterday, but I'm just way too excited for Star-Crossed I just have to share it)

Till then,

His Peri'yappas' Birthday.

On 26th April 2014, I attended a function. It was my boyfriend's peri'yappa's 65th birthday. Happy Birthday, and we wish you good health!

Peri'yappa is Uncle in Tamil language, if you're wondering what it means. I had to google it, though I know I can just ask him personally. Sometimes, I just don't know what I'm doing? Lol. I had a nice time. It was held in Holiday Inn, yes it was really, really nice and grand! I had a really great time meeting his mothers'side of the family.

Thank you for inviting me to the birthday dinner, I had such an amazing time there. Everything was so nice and the food is really good! Okay, I shall end it now.

Till then,

Growing up.

Growing up. Such a big word for a small person like me. It feels that time does not wait for us at all. And it probably never will. And we all know that. I'm turning 23 this year and it is really scary in a way that I'm growing to be an adult and my mind still wishes I'm still in my teenage years, getting my diploma. As crazy as it sounds, I miss my schooling days. Yeah, just the friends that I get to hang out with and have fun and not worry about our common tests or our final exam until the last minute. Skipping classes and lectures halfway through, and only attending the lecture only towards the end of the semester just because tips will be given for the exams.

Admit it, at some point of time(when we were younger) we hang on to the hope that Peter Pan might fly into our room bring us to Never land and save us from growing up; just having fun in Never land with the lost boys. Oh, how I loved(Maybe I still do) Peter Pan when I was a kid. Also, maybe it is because of him. But oh well?

The thought of growing older, scares me. Especially after I got my Diploma, then reality starts to kick in. I began to realise that it is not easy to get a job. No, I do not wish to go to University, just yet as I have no intention of pursuing my degree. And I know things will not get easy because we have to start being independent. We have to earn our own pocket money. In Singapore, it is very hard to move out to get our own apartment once we're in our 20's, though that would be pretty awesome. Usually, we will apply for a house when we're ready to settle down. Housing is expensive here.

It took me 3 months of searching till I finally got a call and got a job. All thanks to my awesomest boyfriend ever! He helped me a lot with this and always motivating me throughout this process of job searching. I don't know how many jobs I applied for and how many resumes I sent, either I get no reply at all, or the job turned out to be way different than what was stated.

Working front-line is tough because I am a naturally shy and quiet person. But ever since I started working where I am now, I begin to open up and talk more to people, especially to the ones I don't really know. Meeting new people is a norm because it is a clinic after all, you're bound to meet new faces which most of the time, you will not remember by the end of the day.

So yes, growing up is a hard thing to do, but it can be fun as well. On the bright side, it actually is nice earning your own money, being responsible paying your own bills(maybe not so much fun as time goes by), not depending on your parents that much financially.

Monday is tomorrow and I am trying not to let the blues get to me. Have a good week ahead!

Till then,
XOXO

Amara Sanctuary Resort

Yes, I am just blogging away in the middle of the night. It's 12am now and I just can't sleep for I don't know what reason! My brain just decides to 'oh hey, going to bed? How about no, let me make you think and reflect on life' and just by doing so, I just can't stop thinking of so many things now, the brain activity is just too strong, even I can't handle it right now. I think it's the fact that it is Monday, and I have work, that could contribute to me being unable to sleep. Okay Irah, enough already, no one cares! Stop whining! Haha..

Okay, I'm just going to go right in to saying that it is actually a really nice place to stay in. In case you're wondering what I'm talking about here, it is the staycation at Amara Sanctuary Resort in Sentosa.  Although it is a bit of a distance to walk from Imbiah Station, and there's nothing much to do once you're in the resort itself, the room is pretty awesome! It is quite spacious with a huge bed provided with an outdoor jacuzi as well. Also, there is like 3 different swimming pool that we could go to around that area whilst staying there. And we really made full use of it. It was really amazing! Gives you the feel of staying in like a beach house or something.
I enjoyed my stay in Amara together with 4 of my best people! Although it was a short Staycation, I really appreciate the time that all of us manage to set aside for each other. I might not talk much or open up much, I really enjoy each and every one of your company. It really means a lot to gather and have some girl time.
Also, I did manage to do things that I don't usually do! Like taking the skyride which scares the crap out of me because my feet is dangling and I can see everything, but now thinking back it was pretty silly to think that way(I have this thing about heights) because it was a really, really slow ride. The luge was fun as well, and the cable car was less intense than the skyride because it was covered and it was at night.
Okay well, I'm gonna try to stop thinking of things now and sleep.
Happy Monday people and have a good week!

When is My Turn? Am I ready yet?

Recently, my girlfriend, 1/5, got engaged. Look at how beautiful she is! I have been pretty much having all these engagements going on lately, not a lot, but a fair amount. Not to mention seeing my friends back from school posting pictures of their engagement/wedding. How fast time flies and we are all in the stage of starting a new life with our own partners. It just feels like not long ago, I just graduated from Polytechnic, trying to get a job.

Growing up is pretty scary, we all have to go through it anyway. It is not easy, you will have to learn the difficulty of having to manage your own finance. Then think of applying for a house when you know you and your partner is serious about each other, just because it takes ages for the house to be ready (3-4 years for BTO), which at the same time gives you time to save up and get ready for when you want to settle down just in time for the house to be ready. It is hard, however we try our best to overcome it. They say that once you turn 21, your age will catch up with you quickly. Sadly, it is true. Not a while ago in December I just turned 22, and now we are in the month of April, and I'll be turning 23 this year, oh how I wish Neverland really do exists. But it doesn't matter, no one can tell how old I really am because I am blessed with a young face and I'm stuck in a ten year old body. Yeah, yeah, I am small what-so-ever.

For me, I don't know if I'm ready, or if I am ever going to be ready for all of this. Getting engaged, getting married, sharing a life with another person. I don't think I can ever tell if I'm really ready for this. I just have to go along with it and plan it well. I don't know the first thing about engagement/wedding preparation, however, I learn a bit here and there while preparing for Kak Aishah and Huda's engagement. I pretty much get the picture of what is supposed to be done. As for the wedding part, I have 2 weddings before mine to look forward for some tips. It is fun no matter how stressful it gets.

When is my turn? My turn for what you might ask? My turn to get engaged. I would say, no rush on this one, don't get me wrong, it is pretty exciting, and yes, of course I can't wait for it to be my turn. Almost every girl wants this to happen. Our engagement, is different from any other engagement. We do not have the 'bend down on one knee' kind of engagement. We have a small mini ceremony whereby the eldest family member from the man side will place the ring onto the lady's finger. Accompanied with some gifts.

So, when is my turn again? We're settling on next year (because boyfriend is really looking forward to it and well, so am I, obviously!). I will most definitely do it as simple as it may be. With just family members along with minimal group of friends. Because it is only engagement, I would just want within family members only. We'll have to see how the situation is. I am so very excited for this! Something I look forward to!

I hope you're having an amazing Sunday!

Satisfaction and Appreciation.

Source: Quotes

For some of us, we feel satisfied over littlest of things. We tend to appreciate what people do for us even the smallest things. We pay attention to details like these and are often easily contented. We are grateful for the things people do for us. The word 'thank you' comes out very easily for most of us.

On the other hand, ever feel like what you seem to do for others, it is just never enough for them? You try your hardest to assist them in any way you can and somehow they just want more from you. They expect more from you. I have been through all of that, not everyday, but often enough that I do get tired to please everyone around me. But, I don't simply stop doing it, I keep trying to make people around me happy because I just love doing so. It's my job to make people feel assured and leave the place that they're in with a smile, making them feel better. However, I do have my restrictions too, as do all other workplaces do.

Working in a health care environment has it's ups and downs. We have to constantly be at our best, keep up with changes, know a lot of things in the shortest amount of time. Most of the time it is such a pleasant environment to work in, you making someones' day, or them making your day. Of course coming to a hospital for a doctor's follow up is never exciting for us. It's not our choice, but we have to do it at some point of time whether we like it or not. Our job is to make people feel as secure as we can and if not all, most of your questions answered and you leaving with a clear mind after your appointments. But no matter what, we are only human too. We do make some mistakes along the way too. Although we do try not to make mistakes because it is after all a hospital, so we have to be tip top in what we do because that is what people expect and want from us. What we call 'Human Error', no matter how hard we try to be perfect and not make mistakes, we do make them, and for that part, on behalf of everyone and myself, I sincerely apologise. I know that will not make time for the fact that precious time was wasted coming down, but I do hope that you know how bad we feel and because it is our fault, and because we will try our best not to make mistakes.

We are pretty much use to having people screaming at us, saying that we are stupid, and so on. To some, it is considered verbal abuse(or maybe not because somehow saying stupid is a normal thing these days), but for us, we have to shrug it off. Don't get me wrong, it is frustrating and it will make us sad when someone say  that you're stupid, however, we can't really say anything to defend ourselves. We apologise for being called stupid. Apologising even after being hurt by words, which is probably our fault for making mistakes, or maybe the system error, either way, they tend to become our fault in the end. Which then leads to us not taking things to our heart no matter how upset we get, we have to let it go. We have to learn that when those things are being said to us, they do not mean it. It is said out of anger. We constantly accept the apology that was never said. Our heart tend to harden. Some of us become unhappy with what we are doing, yet hang on to it because we are comfortable in what we are doing. It has become our routine. I see it happen where I work. Which is not a very positive attitude to have working as a front-line staff.

No, I am not saying bad things about working in a health care environment. It is fun, I do love my job, I really love what I'm doing. I love how I can interact with people and put a smile on their faces at the end of their visit. It makes me feel happy. I try not to let things like this affect me in every way that I can. For every mistake and complains that you get, there will be others complimenting you on your good service. At the end of the day, it is not everyday that you will receive complains. For every complains, there will be 5 people who is grateful of your customer service. There will be good days too. We have to appreciate and be grateful with what we are doing, then, we are able to give our best customer service from our heart genuinely. Because no matter how bad our day is, there will be someone out there who is having it worse than us.

It is indeed very hard to satisfy one self. Be it to satisfy a person or our own self. Everyone wants to be appreciated, so in order for that to happen, we have to appreciate what we have first in order to be appreciated by others.

Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you'll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you'll find that you have more of it.

Till then,
XOXO

Lazy, Signs, Perfection.

One of those days I don't know what the title of the post should be. So, this will do. Wow, been such a long time since I last posted. Life has taken over. Bleargh. No I am not a busy person, just lazy probably. Sorry?

Source:Tumblr

So, recently, I have been reading posts regarding how to know he loves you, 15 signs he likes you, or 10 signs he loves you or 12 signs you've found the perfect man and it goes on and on. I've been seeing that a lot on Facebook. And I read them out of curiosity, don't know why I did that. Normally, I try not to let an article relate to my relationship, because by doing so, I start to compare. And when I start to compare, I will start to have all these expectations which will then end up in disappointment. I will start to believe that in order for him to be the perfect boyfriend, he has to at least have to have those characteristics mentioned in that article that I had just read. And I will begin to question if he is the right one for me because the article that I just read does not reflect most of the characteristics that my partner should have. I will then start to think that in order for him to be a good partner, he has to do things or behave in a certain way the mentioned in the article. Probably most of the things being listed in the article has most of the characteristics that your partner has, if that's the case, that's really good. For those who does not have that, what then? That does not mean he is not the perfect one for you. What I can say is that appreciate your partner for who he is. No one is perfectly perfect. I would say that the most perfect person is probably perfectly imperfect too. If that even makes sense. We're all flawed beings, no matter how hard we try to be perfect. It's easy to say, accept and embrace your imperfections, someone out there will love you despite of all that. But I guess, sometimes, it's not as easy.

Now, I don't have anything against all of those articles. If it makes you feel better by reading it, by all means. It's not wrong to want assurance, just don't let it affect you too much. In the end, it is a source of entertainment. However, to me, if you love and care for someone, that person will put a smile to your face, every end of the day. And if you're in a fight, you'll both somehow turn to each other and find ways to solve it. Being in a relationship is not always rainbows. It's hard. Sometimes you can expect a little thunderstorm along the way, and most of the time, the rain will stop and the sun will put a smile on your face again. No matter how bad or how big the fight is, you'll learn to handle it with each other. It will make you stronger, hopefully. I am no expert, sometimes I don't even take my own advice to use. However, I know that if you love someone and care for that person, you will try to make that person feel that no matter how flawed he/she is, you will try to at least adapt to it, you don't have to necessarily accept how they are, but you will learn to give and take on this one. Also, by giving and taking, you have to know when to draw the line between a healthy relationship or an unhealthy one. You have to know what you really want out of this. Happiness or pain. Does it make you happy? Or are you unhappy most of the time. You are your own judge to your happiness, only you can tell if you're happy in the relationship that you're in. No one can tell you what to do in this one, after all, it is your life. So, you decide your own happy ending.

I hope all of you are doing great wherever you are.
