I don't know about you, sometimes apart from the busy and hectic days that I have to go through (Not busy, just the long hours probably?), I do need time to relax myself. I need to spend some time to unwind, and I do that with television shows. Sometimes, I do need to unleash the fairy tale in me. I am a big fan of fairy tales growing up, even now, and therefore I get attached to this show so easily. My favourite is of course, Peter Pan. Neverland, not having to grow up, sounds pretty fun to me. There is a twist here and there and that is what makes the show more interesting!
Once Upon a Time revolves around different fairy tales in one show, and that is what is so interesting! I really love how the story line goes. Season 1 involves a curse by the Evil Queen which took them all from the Enchanted Forest to Storybrooke, along with them forgetting their memories and their actual names. The curse is broken by the saviour, Emma Swan, who is the daughter of Charming and Snow, who is also the actual mother to Henry. However, magic is also brought back by Rumpelstiltskin.
There is Charming and Snow, and no matter what the circumstances are, they will always find their way to each other. Their love for each other is so strong that one heart can beat for two. And they just had a baby boy! In the show, and in real life too! They are indeed true to Charming and Snow!
The Evil Queen known as Regina, who is not so evil as the time goes by, or is still evil, I cannot really decide for now. She is full of vengeance and does not stop until she gets what she wants. However, she did help save Marians' life too! And we all know she only wants her happy ending, besides having Henry. She is trying to be a better self for Henry.
Season 2 is where it starts to get more interesting as the curse is broken, and magic is brought back. This is where we get to see the Evil Queen's mother, Cora and her story, Baelfire and Lacey and why Lacey is who she is and Owen, know as Greg now, making an appearance years after to find his missing dad and made a promise to come back to Storybrooke to find his dad. There are more characters along the way in Season and if I were to go on, this will be a very, very long post, so you will have to watch it to find out who will be be making an appearance.
However, in this show itself, Pan is not as good as you think he is. He is cunning and manipulative. What surprised me is that I was trying to guess who Pan really is and I know he might somehow be related to the dark one, Rumpelstiltskin. What I did not see coming is that Pan is actually his dad, which is really sad because he chose youth over his son. I guess to some it is pretty obvious who Pan might be, but I was not smart enough. Haha.. I mean how can that be? I fell for the cute look that Pan has got on, not knowing he is not as nice as he looks. His story will only begin towards the end of Season 2 and will carry on forward to Season 3.
Hook however, is a better pirate I must say. Or at least he is trying to be a better pirate. He is definitely charming in his own ways! Haha. Not gonna lie, I adore his relationship with Emma. How he took part in saving Emma's life and Emma, saving his. He is trying to be a better man, and I must say, as of now, I can see some good in him. I mean, just look at him and his eyes, and smile. And remember the time when he got jealous of his past self and punches himself in the face?
In Season 3, the main characters travel to Neverland to save Henry from of course, Peter Pan. And somehow he cast a curse and there is more saving to do. Especially Henry as his and Pan's body switched while trying to get Pan into the Box. In this season, you will expect to see characters from the Wizard of Oz, Ariel, Medusa and Rapunzel. Emma also got a chance to travel back in time to the Enchanted Forest together with Hook. Regina saved them from the curse that was brought upon by Charming and Snow, as she is trying to defeat her own sister, the wicked witch from the west.
So far, Season 4 has just started and I am looking forward for more episodes to come! Because get this, Frozen has come to Storybrooke. There will be more exciting characters to come and I just can't wait for it!
